The Meerkat Sanctuary -
In Southafrica it's a trend to keep wild meerkats as a pet. But according to the sanctuary many of the owner underestimate how quirky these furry fellows are. As they behave like wild animals even in a domestic habitat, owners are often overburdened and then bring the meerkats to this place located near the Kalahari. Once founded by a German Professor its now a few southafrican caretakes that help the animals to learn to survive in the wild again.
